Growing up, my grandma was one of the biggest influences in my life. There wasn’t a time I can remember when she wasn’t in the kitchen, baking something sweet or cooking up a meal for the family. Her kitchen was the heart of her home — filled with warmth, wonderful smells, and the sound of her voice always asking if you wanted seconds. One thing was certain: you never left Grandma’s house hungry.
Over the past few weeks, I’ve been diving back into her recipes, cooking and baking the dishes that filled so many of my childhood memories. The moment those familiar smells fill my kitchen, I’m immediately transported back to her home — standing beside her at the counter, watching her cook with so much love and care.
These recipes are more than just food to me. They are memories, traditions, and little pieces of her that I get to carry on and share with my own family. Through this journey, I want to share those treasured recipes with you and keep her legacy alive one dish at a time.
So come along with me as I dig through Grandma’s recipe box, recreate her favorite meals, and share the stories behind them. I would also love to hear about your grandma. Was she someone who inspired you in the kitchen or in life? Share your memories with me in the comments — I’d love to hear your stories.
